The position will be responsible for all major areas of building maintenance and housekeeping, including restroom sanitation, cleaning, carpet care, furniture upholstery, floor and glass care, equipment operation and maintenance, cleaning chemicals & consumables and safety. In accordance with contemporary housekeeping practices, maintain adequate standards of hygiene and tidiness in community and public areas, wash room and other facilities. Assisting with upkeep of facilities used by students and staff (washrooms, showers, kitchens, etc.) Manage Housekeeping Services of premises mainly washrooms and similar facilities Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to maintenance Direct all facility personnel to assist in day-to-day operations Daily inspection of premises for cleanliness and hygiene and taking corrective actions as and when required On-time submission of monthly requisition of cleaning/disposable materials, uniform and like.These requisitions should be done on prescribed formats. Responsible for training and replacement of the staff Apply and follow the contractual obligations, policies and procedures. Maintain highest level of customer satisfaction ( all end users ) in all aspects of the operations Also responsible for performance of other duties as directed by the Store Manager.QualificationAt least 4 years of progressive experience in a education institution, a hotel or a related field.Supervisory experience required.Experience Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule; Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; Ability to communicate orally and in writing; Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, Supervisors, and the public.Essential Skills Knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in building and grounds maintenance; some knowledge of equipment and supplies used to do minor repairs; some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
